As a Senior Project Director, Julie Soic manages complicated, multi-party land use and financial transactions for Trifiletti Consulting—from behind-the-scenes preparations, procurements and implementation for the opening of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District in Inglewood, to negotiations with Bright Star Charter Schools for their joint use development, and various City and County of Los Angeles entitlement projects..
Much of her keen insight, instinct and initiative comes from her position prior to joining our team: Associate Attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she represented institutional investors and large developers in the acquisition, financing, management, construction and disposition of hotel, multifamily, retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use properties with debt and equity capitalization stacks running from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars.
In her role, she negotiated and drafted purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, management agreements, development agreements, construction contracts, and consulting contracts with third party-vendors (such as architects, designers, traffic consultants and project managers). She also gained expertise in performing title, survey and zoning review and negotiating final title policies, surveys and zoning reports, and undertook land use diligence, advising and related negotiations for high-profile development deals.
Her strong perspective carries outside the office as well, as President and Founder of the Junior Board of Directors of El Nido Family Centers, a non-profit focused on breaking cycles of abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy and academic failure in low-income Los Angeles communities.
Julie received her Juris Doctorate from the Duke University School of Law and her Bachelor’s degree in History from Brown University. Julie is also a fluent French speaker with a DALF Level C1 certificate.
