Nathan has experience in both the public and private sectors, and his background allows him to understand the urban planning process as a whole, from the high-level creation of policy and ordinances, to the ground level effects these policy decisions have on development projects, communities, and individuals.
Prior to joining Trifiletti Consulting Nathan served as a Regional Planner for the County of Los Angeles, a Transportation Planning Associate at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and worked in the geospatial technology field with California Surveying and Drafting Supply (CSDS).
In his role with the County, Nathan was responsible for the enforcement of the Los Angeles County Zoning Code in Rowland and Hacienda Heights and conducted inspections in the community to determine the validity of reported code violations. He was responsible for providing guidance and direction to property owners and businesses seeking to resolve violations on their properties and coordinated with other County agencies on cases involving violations under multiple jurisdictions. Nathan also worked as a Transportation Associate in the Joint Development program at LA Metro, providing project management support on several large-scale mixed-use development projects, including the of the North Hollywood Metro Station, the Division 6 site in Venice, and the Los Lirios project at the 1st and Soto Metro Station. As an Outside Accounts Manager for CSDS, Nathan was responsible for a territory covering eight counties in Southern California, where he consulted with federal, state, and municipal government agencies, as well as private companies in order to develop comprehensive data collection and mapping solutions for a wide variety of applications.
Nathan obtained a BA in Geography from UC Berkeley, with minors in City and Regional Planning and Geospatial Information Science and Technology. He was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and now resides in Los Angeles.
