As Senior Project Manager at Trifiletti Consulting, Krista draws upon over two decades of experience in public policy, land use, and sustainability. Her career across senior roles in Los Angeles city government and regional climate organizations has yielded deep expertise in environmental clearance, entitlements, legislative strategy, and complex infrastructure and development projects. With a strong understanding of how policy, planning, and politics intersect, Krista brings a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to advancing projects through multi-jurisdictional approval processes while securing stakeholder and elected official support.
At Trifiletti, Krista coordinates project development research and prepares environmental clearance and entitlement strategies for complex projects. She leads efforts to build consensus among stakeholders and decision-makers, while applying strong project management skills across disciplines, including sustainability and climate change.
Prior to joining Trifiletti, Krista held several senior leadership roles within the City of Los Angeles, including Senior Director of Legislative and Commission Affairs in the Office of Mayor Karen Bass, where she served as the Mayor’s primary liaison to the City Council and helped advance key legislative priorities. She also served as Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Councilmember Mike Bonin, overseeing policy development, legislative strategy, district operations, and major infrastructure and housing initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Krista led regional climate initiatives as Managing Director of the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability and advanced sustainability programs at the Los Angeles Housing Department and in the office of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Her work has included implementing large-scale energy efficiency programs, developing green building policies, and advancing climate action strategies across jurisdictions.
Krista began her career in environmental planning and law, preparing environmental documentation and advising on regulatory compliance. She holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of California, Davis.
